Sebastián Mella was born in Santiago, Chile. His work as Fantasna began in 2001 when he starts releasing his productions on Chileans and foreign music labels. In 2015, he won the Pulsar award, as “Best Chilean Electronic Music Artist 2014” for the EP “Del Cuore”. He has been part of Boiler Room, Mutek, Sonar Sound, and Primavera Fauna festivals in Santiago. In 2015, he joined the LAMC in New York, and in 2019, he performs in Lollapalooza Chile and DTGL Santiago. In 2018, he created Halcxn, a series of parties and a record label that aim to make the Chilean and South American electronic scene visible.

"Alien's Discotheque" is the first single and the name of Fantasna's next album, his second LP after "Cuéntame", released in March 2017 on Pirotecnia label. The album will be released on vinyl (12") and all streaming platforms through the Halcxn label.

The original track that gives this EP its name, an edited version for the Enciclopedia Color video clip, shows us the search for a different sound than what we are usually used to hear (in Fantasna’s sound). There’s an approach to electro, using a faster tempo, finding a balance through the use of harmonies and ambient sounds.

This single is accompanied by a remix by Valesuchi, a prominent Chilean producer and DJ, now based in Brazil, who develops her version loaded with house and 'extraterrestrial codes,' recalling the long nights on the dance floor. To close this EP, Fantasna gives us an ambient version, which highlights the harmonic work developed with synthesizers on the original track, seeking calm and introspection.

A separate description requires the video clip filmed by Paulina Giustinianovich (Enciclopedia Color), her first experience in the science fiction genre. The art of the cover emerges from this clip. She describes her work as "The unbelievable achieved from different scenarios to form a single imagined, apocalyptic and lonely city. Outcomes of past situations, collected samples, besieged areas. Imposing architectures along with desolate passages accompanies two characters in their different searches, which are finally united by a common discovery: 'Alien's Discotheque' is written like a dream or a nightmare, something as dystopian as our present day."
